Chest Pit to Pit - 52cm (20") | Length - 69cm (27") | Shoulder Width - 46cm (18") | Sleeve - 57cm (22")

Faded blues, worn edges, and hand repairs give this French chore coat a presence that can’t be replicated—earned only through time and use. Produced by Le Pigeon Voyageur in the 1940s, it reflects the core values of bleu de travail workwear: durability, functionality, and quiet consistency in daily life.

Cut from heavyweight moleskin cotton, the fabric shows a deep patina with sun-faded panels and visible wear that speak to its history. Three patch pockets, an interior pocket, and a button-up front complete the utilitarian layout, while the relaxed fit allows for movement and layering. Worn over raw denim or thrown on with loose trousers, it brings texture and lived-in depth to modern wardrobes.

Please note this piece shows natural signs of wear and repair, enhancing its vintage character, while remaining in very good condition overall.

We carefully measure each vintage garment by hand to ensure precise sizing and the best possible fit. Before making a purchase, we encourage you to review our measurement process to find the perfect match.

The most reliable way to determine if a vintage piece will fit you is to compare its measurements with a similar garment you already own and love. By using the same measuring methods we follow, you can ensure accuracy and confidence in your selection.

Please disregard the size labels shown in the garment images, as vintage sizing standards often differ from modern ones. Instead, we provide a suggested modern size in each product description, based on our carefully curated size charts below. This helps bridge the gap between vintage authenticity and contemporary fit.

All garments are measured flat, and we provide measurements in both centimeters (cm) and inches (") for ease of reference. A minor variation of here or there is natural and will not significantly affect the overall fit—so there’s no need to stress over small differences.

HOW WE MEASURE BOTTOMS:

Dap Walk Vintage Measuring Guide

Waist: The garment lays flat and is buttoned or zipped-up. We measure the waistband from end to end.

Hips: We measure the hips from the the widest parts of the hips, usually at crotch seam height, seam to seam.

Thigh: We measure from the crotch seam to the outside leg seam.

Front Rise: We start measuring from the middle of the crotch seam and measure straight up to the middle of the front waistband.

Back Rise: We start measuring at the center of the back waistband and measure straight down to the crotch seam.

Leg / Inseam: We measure from the crotch to the bottom of the leg opening along the inside seam.

Hem / Leg Opening: We measure across the bottom of the leg at the hem from seam to seam.

HOW WE MEASURE TOPS & OUTERWEAR:

Chest: We lay the garment flat and measure from armpit to armpit. The measurements begin and end at the seams.

Shoulders: We measure straight across the shoulders from sleeve seam to sleeve seam. Shoulder measurements are done on the backside of the garment, not front.

Sleeve: We measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve cuff.

*Raglan - Some garments do not have a shoulder seam due to a ‘Raglan’ sleeve design, where the shoulder has a seamless curve. As there is no specific shoulder seam from which to measure the sleeve length, we measure from the top neck seam to the end of the sleeve cuff.

Length: We start measuring at the highest point on the shoulder (usually where the shoulder meets the collar) and measure straight down the front of the garment until the lowest point on the bottom hem.

The grading of the vintage clothing sold at Dap Walk is done as objectively as possible, taken into account that every vintage item has had a different life before we acquired it. We divide the condition of our garments into five grades, listed below:
Mint: Garment is faultless and has not been altered. Mostly refers to vintage that has never been worn or deadstock items.
Excellent: Garment has no obvious faults in appearance, and possibly has never been worn or only worn few times. There might be expected signs of wear or age but hardly any signs at all.
Very Good: Shows normal signs of wear expected for the age of the garment with some minor visible problems, such as small stains, but nothing that will detract from wear.
Good: Garment has obvious signs of wear, but is overall intact. Such signs include minor stains and/or fabric tearing or abrasion which may be noticeable.
Fair: Garment has apparent stains and/or fabric wear; these problems are either irreparable or have been repaired, but are not perfect in appearance.
Don't hesitate to contact us with questions about grading or the state of a particular garment to feel confident about your purchase.
